THE RITUAL:

The practice of using heat to release toxins from the body dates back tens of thousands of years but unlike the Hammam, a Turkish bath primarily utilizes water rather than steam. You may create either condition. Here we will do both. By a turn of the faucet (to a trickle in tub) or shower, the (very hot) water will slowly fill into the tub until it is full enough to submerse yourself. During this period, (with doors and windows closed), you will begin your hammam ritual within this steamy environment. This steam method is fundamental in releasing toxins (especially after a walk or work out) and relaxing muscles to further prepare you for your bath.
